How do you keep your jewelry beautiful?

You naturally want to wear your Riverstones jewelry as much as possible, but how do you ensure that it stays beautiful?

Gilded and silver

The majority of our collection is gold-plated or silver-plated. Gold-plated means the jewelry is made of brass with a layer of gold over it. We choose this because brass is also gold-colored. So you'll always have a gold-colored piece of jewelry, even if the layer wears off. This is unlikely to happen because we apply a further coating over the gold plating to keep your necklace, bracelet, ring, or earrings beautiful for longer. Regarding silver, we can be brief and to the point. We have a few silver-plated earrings in our collection, but otherwise, all our jewelry is made of 9.25 sterling silver.

Tips

So, what can you do to keep your jewelry looking beautiful for as long as possible? Our first tip is to absolutely avoid showering or swimming with your jewelry. But also remove it when cleaning or doing the dishes. Furthermore, brass reacts to the acidity of your skin. Therefore, don't wear your jewelry at night to minimize contact with your skin, and don't wear it during sports or other activities that make you sweat. We're constantly working to improve the quality of our collection and prevent any potential skin reactions. That's why all our jewelry is nickel-free.

The term "karat" indicates the amount of pure gold in a piece of jewelry. 18k gold is 75% gold. Pure gold is too weak and fragile to make jewelry, so it's mixed with other metals to strengthen it. Gold doesn't tarnish and remains beautiful forever.
