Tips for care
How to keep your jewelry beautiful for as long as possible?
Even a high-quality piece of jewelry will last longer if you handle it carefully.
We recommend removing your jewelry during:
- showering and swimming;
- sports;
- sleeping;
- cleaning and washing dishes.
Also, try to avoid direct contact with perfume, body lotion, hairspray, and other cosmetics as much as possible. Therefore, it's best to put on your jewelry last when getting ready.
Gold-plated jewelry
Can wear out over time due to friction, moisture, perspiration, and cosmetics. How quickly this happens varies per person and depends on how often and in what way you wear the jewelry.
Stainless steel
Is strong and less susceptible to discolouration, but if the jewelry is gold-plated, the gold plating remains a finish that must be handled with care.
Sterling silver
Can darken due to oxidation. This is normal and can usually be easily remedied with a special silver polishing cloth.
14k responsible gold
In addition to gold-plated, silver-plated, and silver jewelry, Riverstones also has a literally brilliant 14k gold collection. It is even responsible gold. Gold obtained with respect for people and the planet. Gold does not discolour and always remains beautiful. It's jewelry that lasts a lifetime.
