Creating a new collection naturally all starts with an idea, a moment of inspiration. This time, that inspiration came during a yoga class I entered with a stressed and busy mind. During the class, the teacher talked about "lightness" and how wonderful it is to always keep seeking it.
In a busy life, with heavy thoughts or in difficult times. 

LIGHTNESS 

is therefore one of the two themes of the new Riverstones collection, which again consists of beautifully subtle earrings, necklaces and rings. 

Finding lightness in the rush of life. 

Busy days, busy lives, hearts filled with work, worries and stress.
A small pause.
Reconnecting with myself and all the lightness that lies underneath.
A moment of true connection with who I truly am.
(I wrote this after the yoga class) 

Later, I read an article by Elisabeth Gilbert, an American author best known for her successful memoir "Eat, Pray, Love." It was about how we women can sometimes make things so hard for ourselves. While many of us brilliantly juggle various roles and try to live life to the fullest. Why don't these women shine and ooze self-confidence? Why do they walk around with a dimmed light? Because they're afraid they're not doing it well enough? Where has the light gone? 

This is the idea that inspired my design. I used soft, rounded shapes to emphasize that women should be gentler with themselves. And perhaps with each other as well. The Tender Eardrops are an example.

The Lightness collection will be launched on August 1st.
